Bourke'S Parakeets

EXPANDED SPECIES INFORMATION COMING SOON!

Bourke's are also Australian natives, recently classified into their own genus, Neosephotus. Bourkes are crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dusk and dawn, with tinkling bell-like whistles and chirps. They primarily nap midday - perhaps on your shoulder?

Bourkes don't preen one another, so they prefer not to be petted, but they are sweet, intelligent, very quiet, and possibly the least destructive species of pet parrots. Photo

Bourke's can live 10-15+ years with proper care.
